Hi howdy, little pack pals!

Happy Earth Day to all! I decided to take another watch of A Bug’s Life to get back in touch with nature! I don’t know what it was about this movie as a kid, but I HIGHLY enjoyed this movie as a kid.

Maybe it was the fact that it wasn’t exactly about princesses in the standard Disney sense.

Maybe it was the fact that there were so many quotable moments.

Maybe it was the fact that the opening mini movie was a cute old man playing chess with himself.

Whatever the reason, I have a fondness for this movie that has lasted through the years. I think that there were qualities that we all could aspire to have from this movie. I think as a kid I admired Atta and Dot’s bravery in the ways that they handled the grasshoppers. But as a slightly older lady that I am now, I see the benefit in the curious mind that Flik had as well as his spirit of innovation. I really loved taking this time to rediscover a childhood favorite and create these really fun recipes to share with my family and all of you!

Menu:

Drink: Bug Juice

App: PuPu platter

Main: Green Goddess Salad

Dessert: Grasshopper Pie
